If you have ever been frustrated by soggy crust or a quiche that just won’t turn out right do I have a recipe for you. This is fail proof and delicious. Need I say more?
Fail-Proof Ham & Cheese Quiche
1 cup of milk or cream
1 tsp of dry mustard
1/2 cup chopped onion ( or 3 shallots )
1 diced clove of garlic ( optional)
1/4 – 1/2 cup of chopped red pepper ( optional )
1/2 cup of shredded cheese
1/2 cup of chopped ham
2 tsp flour
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp salt
touch of olive oil for pan
1 deep dish pie crust ( homemade or store bought)
Preheat oven to 350
Saute onion, garlic ,ham and pepper for approximately 4 minutes
In a small bowl whisk eggs, cream , dry mustard , salt and pepper ..
toss shredded cheese in flour and put in pie crust add ham mixture and then egg mixture. Bake for one hour or until filling sets.
