I’m always looking for ways to make different products at home. Cost effective and easy to do here are five tip and tricks to help you get started.
1: Blackhead Removal
There are many recipes out there but this one seems to work the best. crush up a few plain regular aspirins (non-coated) then add a tiny amount of water to make a paste. Apply this paste like a mask, let it dry and then remove with a warm cloth.
2: To Remove Built up Residue from Hair
Use every two weeks. Mix 1 to 2 Tbsp baking soda with small amounts of water until a thick paste forms and then massage into damp hair. Let sit for 15 minutes and rinse with water. Shampoo hair.
3: Facial Scrub (Oatmeal and Honey Scrub)
Combine 1/4 cup of uncooked oatmeal, 3 tsp of honey, 1 tsp of apple cider vinegar and 1/2 to 1 tsp of water. Add mixture to your face and allow it to sit for 10 mins. Using a soft cloth apply some warm water and gently rub the skin in a circular motion as you rinse it off. ( make this before you are to use it, cannot be stored. )
4: Hand Butter
warm 1/4 cup of beeswax and 1/4 cup of cocoa butter in a pan until melted. Add 2 tablespoons of safflower oil and remove from heat. add a few drops off essential oil (if so desired) and beat with a whisk until cool. while its still soft put it into a container. This will be firm but will melt in your hands when you use it.
5. Apple Cider Vinegar for clear skin
Got eczema or acne ? Mix apple cider vinegar with some Epsom salts and add it to a warm bath for a skin cleansing, healing and detoxifying treatment.
